Ecology in change

In the editorial of one of the Ecological Society of America journals is stated that ecology is no longer the science that will save the earth but will become a creative force. In this form, ecology can win, and become the science of complex systems which moreover offers the paradigm to tackle the complexities of the modern world, complexity that, if not recognized. leads to many of the ills of post-modern wordl: racism, parochialism, bureaucracy, crise.
