Anthropocene, Phanerozoic

Maybe the Anthropocene is not an epoch, but the beginning of a new eon. After all the Phanerozoic begun with an huge episode of pollutioon, when the cyanobacteria changed the composition of the primaeval atmosphere releasing huge amounts of oxygen (which is a waste material for plant, it must be recalled), and it is ending now with a much smaller episode of alteration of the biosphere by man.
