ISIS and art

The worls is shocken by the desctrucion of works of art by ISIS in the Middle East. I am shocked too, but Iwould strss that during the French Revoltuion the revolutionaries destroyed the statues and the decoration of the wonderful Gothic cathedrals, since these statues were the symbol of the oppressive and corrupt Ancien Règime the revolutionaries wanted (and succeded) to destroy.
