nuclear

Suppose that nuclear plant do not produce (undisposable) wastes, that they don't release radioctivity into the environment, that they don't need huge amount of water for functiongin. Forget that all. I wonder, nonetheless, why USA abandoned the builfing of new nuclear plants year before Chernobyl accident, and why China doesn't builds nuclear plants extensively, considering the rising price of oil. In USA possibly environmental considerations play a role, but in China? The only possible answer is that nuclear power cannot solve energetic problems.
