Horace

Horace is beloved and cherished in the Italian school, mainly because he often makes the so called "concordanza a senso" (agreement by meaning) that makes translation difficult for studensts with a traditional Italian high school latin training. Yet he was not much loved in the antiquity - much differentely from the almost divinised Vergil, - and is rarely cited by Petronius, Aulus Gellius, etc. Anyway, he is an inexhaustible source of sentences, and this is enough for Italian lawyers.
