Marilyn Monroe was at the beginning probably a porn-star; she tried unsuccessfully all her life to escape from this unfamous origin. She longed much to became a respectable actress and an accepted artist, but the establishment considered her not much more than a doll. A few decades later times were deeply changed and  it turned better for Ilona Staller "Cicciolin". Apart from a brilliant career in porn, she succeded in everything : she was elected in the Italiana Parliament, she married the famous artist Jeff Koons (although they eventually broke off). Probably the key difference is that Ilona Staller "Cicciolina" was never ashamed of her profession, differently from Marilyn; instead, the fact that she practically no limits in the field of sex gave to her an aura of freedom that probably helped her much and that lacks sadly in the many whores or half-whores that reached important governamental positions under Berlusconi's government.
