Cyber-paganism

In a book that I am reading a character says "the reason there are so many Greek and Indian gods was because the created us (...) and you need a team to do it. He says the idea of God as an individual is total bollocks" and later the protagonists defines this statement as "cyber paganism". Pop culture of course cares little for phylology, and therefore misses the well known fact that Greek and Indian gods are not creators, but are instead created. In the Greek myth of the creation, Eros, Gea and Nyx (love, earth and night) arise spontaneously from chaos (meaning more or less "the void"). The myths of Indians and of many other cultures are very similar. Creators, either individual or collective, are rather peculiar to judaism and christianism. It is very difficult to become again pagan after you have been baptized.
